June 30 A Card for Maddy

A Card for Maddy!

This post is done in honor of a special little girl that I learned about from Simon Says. They have been doing a card drive for her, so I have made this card and will pop it in the mail and send all my prayers and wishes that this bone marrow transplant will work this time for her. You can learn all about her story by clicking here. Hopefully you can make her card and brighten her day. I hope this one will.
This card is made with an image from Whimsy Stamps called Morgan from designer FairyDust Images.

This is my inspiration card that will hopefully inspire you to make a card for Maddy as well.
A closer look at the colored image she is carrying a sword and is standing strong just like Maddy is.

Thank you for stopping by;
I hope that you can make a card for maddy as well.

Super hero card June 25

Super Hero !
I think everyone likes super heroes, especially when your little. Growing up you pretend to
be super heroes like batman and spider man with capes and special powers. Always catching the bad guys. I'm sure everyone has those kinds of memories from when they where little, you have probably watched your children use their imagination and do the same thing. Those are great memories to have so when I seen this image I knew it would be a great card to honor those memories. and rather than a birthday card I decided to do a just for you card. The sentiment is from the friendship ticket sentiments from Whimsy stamps. The image is a digital image from Whimsy stamps as well called Super Hero boy 1 from the designer Scrapper's Delights. You should jump over to the Whimsy challenge blog to check out the wonderful creations made by the Whimsy digital team and enter the challenge this month for a chance to win some great digital images.
I had so much fun coloring this image with all the areas to shade to get depth on the image. I don't make very many boy cards so this was a great opportunity to do so.

Here is my Super Hero card.

June 5 challenge shape card

Hi again!
I was just on yesterday and already another post crazy hey.
Well this is a tag that I made cause the challenge for this month on the Whimsy challenge blog is a shape card. Well I made a  tag. I thought it would be fun to use this super cute image from Whimsy Stamps called Cool Cat's Life Saver digital stamp from designer crissy. I love this little cutie, it was super fun to work with as well. I went to a local store to try to find something to put this tag on. I really wanted a sand pail and shovel etc. Well I couldn't find anything that would match the tag I made so I went with bubbles. I hand wrote the saying on the tag summer fun, and really what kid doesn't like bubbles. I think I'll give this away as a gift. I really loved doing this challenge cause I really got to step out of the box. I would love for you to create something and add it to the Whimsy challenge( click here to jump over to the challenge blog) to get a chance to win some wonderful digital images.
Think about it and go create a super wonderful project to win some great images. Hope to see what you have created.
Here's my tag and a huge container of bubbles.

Hers cool cat's Life saver image, colored with copic markers.

A bit closer look at my colored image. I added little dots around the outside of the colored image to help accent the image. I also used glossy accent by ranger to give the glasses a reflective look.

 and of course the bubbles.
Supplies: copic markers, Bazzill cardstock, Martha stewart coner and edge punch, tag spellbinder, Basic grey buttons, Cheese cloth, miscellaneous charm, ribbon.

I am entering this tag in the following challenges:
The pink elephant: Summer time theme
Paper take weekly: Non Square

June 4, The vintage heart

Welcome back to my blog!

Sorry I have been away for a bit, my days like yours I'm sure have been a blurr. There still aren't enough hours in the day, well there might be if I didn't have to sleep LOL. Then I had some technical difficulties, My printer decided it wanted to  die. So then I had to get a new one and I couldn't for the longest time figure out how to get cardstock to print in it.( cause I use mostly digital images) I went on line trying and trying to find some where that would explain it, I couldn't find nothing that would help. I pulled up the manual online and read it over and over, I even got my husband to help me.( he's way better on the computer than I am). After just about being ready to take it back to the store and get a different one. I read the manual again and the light bulb went on, I changed some properties on the printer and BINGO  it printed. So now I'm good to go.
This is my inspiration card for this week.
I used a Whimsy image called  The Vintage Heart from designer Fairydust Images. It's a stunning image to work with lots of detail in her. The colors I used kind of came from the peacock feathers in her hair.
Then the purple just seemed to be the proper color combo for it.
I hope that you check out all the great new images at The Whimsy store this month from all the terrific designers and get inspired to create a wonderful card.
I added stardust stickles kind of here and there on the image to give it that magical feel.
A closer look at the flowers that I added in the complementary color of the card.
Supplies: Copic markers, Bazzill cardstock, spellbinder Decorative Labels Eight, Stampendous sentiment, memory box flower dies, Martha Stewart branch punch, Queen and co pearls, Whimsy vine dies, Distress ink, stardust stickles.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
