Whimsy March Challenge

Hi Everyone!

 Welcome back to my blog,

 It's Wednesday March 13 and time for another Whimsy Challenge. WE have some wonderful creations from our Digital designers, click here to check them out.

Our theme for this challenge is :

Stitching Real or Faux.

You don't have to use a Whimsy image or make a card, it can be any creation. It just has to have real or faux stitching on it . Easy enough right. We have three prizes to give away to the lucky winners.

So I'd love to see you create a great project and enter it on the Whimsy Challenge blog.

This is my card for this challenge, I had a few issues with the real sewing thing. I got this little paper sewing machine, just for little projects like this. I've had it for ever and never used it really. My daughter always did she had me help her with it when she used it.  Well I dug it out of my cupboard to use for the stitching. I seriously couldn't get it to work. I made me crazy! It just wouldn't stitch anything super frustrating.  So I have to sit down to figure it out, but in the mean time .... I just decided to do faux stitching. But I will master the use of that for next time, this time my card was just taking way way to long.

I made this card using a super cute image from Whimsy Stamps by designer  Marika Collins called One Heart.

I love this little image it's adorable, I never put a sentiment on it . I think you can give this card to anyone and have it be very self explanitory .

Here is my creation for the Blog Hop.
I used a Digital image created by Crissy's Digis. A great summer birthday card for a young boy, Makes you wish summer would come faster. I started off coloring this image in the BG copic colors but found some green patterned paper that I really though was a great boy color so then blended in a green pallet. So the hoodie took me a bit of time to color but I like the final product.

Feb 14 inspiration card

Happy Valentine's Day!

February 14 a day to share love, well it could be shared with a spouse, child, pet .... really anyone that means something to you.

 I think it shouldn't take a day to make someone show you that you love them it should happen all the time. But as you well know sometimes life can get in the way of the important things, so it's great to have a day like Valentine's to get people to show the love and meaning that they have for someone they love.

I got a bouquet of pink and red roses the other day from my husband, I got them early. He's never really been one to do something cause he has to like buying flowers on Valentines day. So he bought them and surprised me cause he likes me not expecting things.... More like a surprise. I love that about him. It's nice to feel special.

Here is a flower out of a bouquet of flowers that my husband bought me.

I made this card for my daughter. I used a super cute digi stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Little Cupid Bear. This image is from Stampart design. I used alot of pink, girly  colors and some bling of course.

Feb 1, inspiration card

Hi, great to see you again.

Well we are in the first week of February, the weather here has been better. We didn't get snow last night which is a change for the better. The temperature is about - 7 that's great also.

This is my inspiration card for Whimsy this week.

My card is made using a digi stamp from designer Marika Collins  called  A List  Star. You can find this image and other wonderful images at Whimsy Stamps.

Cute, cute image, it was fun to color and add sparkle and bling to it.

A girly card, with all the pink and gems.

 I hope that this will inspire you to create or craft with a friend or a child. Remember that it's wonderful to create memories thorough imagination and creativity. Then be able to give a card like this to someone special.

Inspiration card Jan 23

Hi welcome back to my blog.
 Its Wednesday January 23 already, which is good.
 I'm glad to see this month fly by cause someone shook the snow globe again. It seems like every day or every other day for sure we are getting snow and not just a little bit,  alot. So as I watch this month fly by with all the snow and cold. I can't help but think that it's one day closer to being spring and summer. This winter seems to be longer than the last few maybe it was the -37 over Christmas plus all the snow we have been getting lately. On a positive note I'm getting lots of exercise shovelling my driveway and steps.
Well enough about my weather complaints. I'm here to put up an inspirational card, hopefully to help get you in the mood to create a card or project. Also to jump over to Whimsy Stamps to check out the wonderful digital image in the Whimsy Store.

The card that I made this week is using a Lia Stampz called "Cupcake". I thought it was adorable when I seen it, so colored it with my copic markers and made a feastive birthday card with it.

Challenge card Jan 16

 

Hi Welcome back to my blog!

Great seeing you again, Its been a warm couple of days here which is very refreshing. A nice break from the snow and the cold. The snow has been melting like crazy here, its nice cause it breaks the winter up a bit. We still have lots more winter to come I'm sure but it's great to have a mental break from the dreary winter that we can have at  times.

The Challenge for Whimsy is fancy borders/ edges.
What a great challenge, it one that I have not done yet. I used a Martha Stewart punch and also a new spellbinder.

You add those two things with a fabulous image, a little imagination  and..... you get a wonderful card. Here is my card for this challenge.
