April 19 Baby Boo Dragon

Welcome!
Glad to see you, welcome back if you have been on my blog before and if  this is the first time that you've stopped by.... I'm hoping that you will enjoy my blog.
This is my inspiration card that I put together for this weeks post. This little image is from a new designer at Whimsy Stamps. The image is called Baby Boo Dragon Long Hair from Scrapper's Delights Paper Crafts. Isn't the she cute. I loved coloring and putting together this card. The colors purple and green work really well with the color that I used on the image. This card also came together very easy. Sometimes you struggle and just know that your project is missing something and other times it fits together beautifully. Well this one was great to work on. I hope that you get inspired today to create something wonderful.  I know that I will.
Here is my creation:

April 15 Pretty in Pink

I smell Spring!
That is the name of this adorable digi  from Whimsy Stamps from designer Crissy Armstrong.  I am actually not sure if I smell spring here in Alberta after the storm on the weekend, we got a terrible amount of snow again. I sure am hoping that spring will finally arrive sooner than later. I have actually been in a pink mood I guess my last couple cards have been pink. Great color though. That is the theme on the Whimsy Challenge blog right now. So if you have created a card or project with pink then you should definitely add it to the challenge blog ( click here to jump to the Whimsy challenge blog). For a chance to win some really terrific digital images.
This is my inspiration card for this week.

April 9 inspiration card

Welcome back, great to see you.
I know I never got my post up last week. Things have been a little crazy with me the last week or so. The days are a blurr it seems not enough hours in the day. I've had alot on my plate and trying to keep up can sometimes get to you after a while. So I finally got into my scrapbook room and was able to sit and create some cards. I've gotten quite a few done so I'm planning on posting twice this week to help with my absence last week. I guess enough about my full days I'm sure yours are the same. That's why it's important to sit back and really make time for the things that you enjoy or you will never have the time. and life will just pass you by.

March 28 Easter post

Happy Easter!
Well tomorrow is Good Friday already, wow time is flying this week. I hope that you have a fabulous holiday weekend with family and or friends. The weather here is fabulous, not sure if it's going to stay or not but summer is right around the corner.
My weekend will be a quiet on I think, but I certainly don't mind.
For my post this week , I decided to step out of the box, I mostly do card or tags etc. Never scrapbook layouts. Well I decided to do an Easter scrapbook layout. I am actually working on a album for my parents, Their 50 th wedding anniversary is this summer. So my mom and I have been going through pictures, I found a lot of great pictures. I have to go visit and get more pictures,  I'm really looking forward. Going to visit, talk about pictures and visiting  with my parents was wonderful.
Here is my page, it was my first Easter I was only 3 months old. That was a long time ago.
I colored and used  the image Happy Little Bunny from Whimsy Stamps by Stamp Art Design. I loved this image and it fit really well with layout and was fun to color. I hope that this will inspire you to create today if not have a wonderful day any ways and Happy Easter.

My colored image... adorable.

March 21 inspiration card

Welcome To My Blog!
If you haven't been here before welcome and if you have, I'm glad to see you back.
Well Yesterday was the first day of spring so I thought that this card would be a great way to bring that season in. However on that note today is more like winter here than spring. It's cold out and blowing we did get a bit of snow but not as much as other parts of Alberta. Some parts of the province are complete white out and under heavy snow fall warnings so I'm ok with the little bit that we got. Although I can not wait for spring to finally arrive.
I made this card as a birthday card for my mother-in-law, I went with a less traditional colors that I typically use. I really love the image it is from Whimsy Stamps made by StampArt Design by Kathryne. This image a digital image  is called * New Tulip Umbrella.
I hope that this will get you in the mood to create a card or project for someone special.

A closer look at the image

The little dots on the image are so cute. I wanted to accent them to look like rain drops, so I added glossy accents. The great thing with glossy accents is that it keeps its shape on the paper once its dry.I love how it turned out, its a little hard to see in the photograph.
This is the sentiment that comes with the Tulip umbrella digital image file. Super cute!
Supplies: Bazzill cardstock, MME patterned paper, Copic markers, Memory Box die - Delicate Vine, Sentiment from Stampendous, Martha Stewart Tri butterfly punch & EK triple punch butterfly punch, Ranger stardust stickles and Glossy Accents

Whimsy March Challenge

Hi Everyone!
 Welcome back to my blog,
It's Wednesday March 13 and time for another Whimsy Challenge. WE have some wonderful creations from our Digital designers, click here to check them out.

Our theme for this challenge is :
Stitching Real or Faux.
You don't have to use a Whimsy image or make a card, it can be any creation. It just has to have real or faux stitching on it . Easy enough right. We have three prizes to give away to the lucky winners.
So I'd love to see you create a great project and enter it on the Whimsy Challenge blog.

This is my card for this challenge, I had a few issues with the real sewing thing. I got this little paper sewing machine, just for little projects like this. I've had it for ever and never used it really. My daughter always did she had me help her with it when she used it.  Well I dug it out of my cupboard to use for the stitching. I seriously couldn't get it to work. I made me crazy! It just wouldn't stitch anything super frustrating.  So I have to sit down to figure it out, but in the mean time .... I just decided to do faux stitching. But I will master the use of that for next time, this time my card was just taking way way to long.

I made this card using a super cute image from Whimsy Stamps by designer  Marika Collins called One Heart.
I love this little image it's adorable, I never put a sentiment on it . I think you can give this card to anyone and have it be very self explanitory .

A closer look at the image and the bouquet of little flowers in the corner.
A little look at the faux stitching that I did around the outside of my card.
Supplies: Bazzill cardstock, White gel pen, Whimsy Stamps &Wild orchid flowers, Copic markers, distress ink, Zva creative gems, Decorative Labels Eight spellbinders.

Here is my creation for the Blog Hop.
I used a Digital image created by Crissy's Digis. A great summer birthday card for a young boy, Makes you wish summer would come faster. I started off coloring this image in the BG copic colors but found some green patterned paper that I really though was a great boy color so then blended in a green pallet. So the hoodie took me a bit of time to color but I like the final product.

A closer look at the colored image.
