Dec. 14 challenge

This week on the Whimsy Challenge blog the theme is :

Charms

So I decided to use a Chrissy Armstrong digital image called New Snowman Angel, from Whimsy Stamps. This image is really super sweet, I thought the let it snow sentiment would be cute to add. Although I don't want it to snow, snow, snow. I thought that the sentiment was kind of fitting with the whole walking in a Winter Wonderland theme. The snowman has a candy cane in his hand which is a small but really great part of the holiday season. I decided to make this card very soft but seasonal, not using a dark color like red but a tone of it. I hope that you will check out the DT creations on the Whimsy inspiration blog cause there are 11 new designers that have been added and I can hardle wait to check out there creations. I hope that you will follow them as well.
So here is my card, I really enjoyed creating it so I hope that you enjoy what I have done with

I used white liquid applique from Marvy Uchida around the fur on the hat, mitts and buttons on the jacket. This is wonderful for dimension you put it on let it dry a bit then use a heat gun and then you have wow factor I love it.

Supplies: New Snowman Angel by Chrissy Armstrong From Whimsy Stamps, Copic markers, My Minds Eye patterned paper, Bazzill Cardstock, Ribbon, Liquid Applique from Marvy Uchida.

Pearls and Patterned Paper

Todays challenge for Whimsy is Patterned paper and pearls.

I can not believe that it is already December 7, the time is just flying by Christmas is only a couple weeks away. I have had this image for a little while and decided that maybe I should use it and being that it is this close to Christmas I thought that it would be a fitting image to put on this card. I wanted to use colors that were a little different but that would create a bold, rich but elegant look. I don't very often put purple & red together but I kind of like the look that this created. I hope that you agree with me. Hope that you hop over to the Whimsy Blog to see what the other DT's have created

Thanks for stopping by.

Anything but a Card.

Anything But A Card.

Here we are November 30 already, can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner. Only 25 more days. So I decided to try something a little bit different and make a arrangement for my house for Christmas. I used this super cute digi image called New Flowery Tree from Whimsy Stamps.

I colored the image to match the Poinsettia and leaf color. I found this vase, pebbles & silver spikes at a local store here and decided that I could make a great arrangement with it. The Flowery Tree image that I colored just added that extra touch that finished off my project. I am very pleased with how this turned out. You should check out the rest of the DT projects for the Whimsy challenge blog this week and make a project for a chance to win images from Whimsy Stamps.

I took a closer picture to really show off the image that I colored for this project, it was a super cute image to work with. Each poinsettia iscut out with a spellbinder, foam squared in between each layer, sprayed with adhesive, sprinkled with glitter and then pearls were added to the centers.

Thanks for stopping by.
Supplies: New Flowery Tree image from Whimsy stamps, poinsettia spellbinder , Bazzill cardstock, copic markers, Kaiser craft pearls, glitter.

Make or Add a Tag.

Hi, great to see you again.

The Whimsy Inspirational Challenge this week is to make or add a tag.

So I decided to do something that I have never made before and that's a wine bottle tag. I think something like this would be wonderful to take to someone house that is having you over for dinner around the holiday season or just to say I was thinking of you over a glass of wine. You'll have to check out the Whimsy blog and get inspired to make or add a tag, maybe try to come up with something that is a little different than you usually make.

Happy Crafting!

This is a close up of the tag using a super cute digi stamp called New HollyBelle by Stamp Art Design from Whimsy Stamps. I attached three ribbons and a bow to the edge with some small gold bells dangling from the ribbon to add to the Christmas theme of the tag.
Supplies: New HollyBelle stamp from Stamp Art Design by Kathryne, Copic markers, Parisian Accent& Ribbon Banners by spellbinder, Bazzill cardstock, Bo Bunny Patterned paper, hero arts sentiment, Kaiser Craft pearls, Ranger star Dust Stickles, miscellaneous bells and ribbon.

Recipe Challenge

Todays Challenge for Whimsy is a recipe - Ribbon, 2 design papers & 3 embellishments.

Here is my card that I did using a Chrissy Armstrong digi stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Little Christmas Angel. My three embellishments are a little jewel hanging from a ribbon, red bling on the holly & the buckle on the bottom ribbon. Having a challenge like this sure makes you think cause all your embellishments have to all go together somewhat but still enhance the overall look of your card. Check out what the DT's for Whimsy have created on the Whimsy Challenge blog this week.

Hope to see your card/ project on Whimsy using todays challenge idea.

A better look at the sentiment that I used for my easel card.

This weeks Challenge for Whimsy is: monochromatic - 1 color & neutrals on your card/project.

So I choose to color a Lia Stampz image from Whimsy, in cool gray copic markers, use black & white with my one color being red. The Challenge for the Whimsy Inspiration blog this week is to add a button.

To be honest with you that is something that I have never really used to much of, so this challenge has made me do something that I normal would stay away from and that is - buttons.

I don't really know why I don't use them, it's not like they look bad or take away from any project that I have ever done. So this challenge was good for me. I like the effect of the buttons on my card so maybe I'll try harder to use items that I typically stay away from. I stepped out of my box and tried something different so I hope that you are up to the Whimsy Challenge this week and will try to make a project/ card using buttons and play along on the

I colored the image "Sparkly Tree" by Moon Cookie Gallery from Whimsy Stamps with copic markers then added stickles to the little stars on the image. After I was done that then I used white liquid applique to the boughs to give it the depth of snow. I added stickles to the swirls on the BoBunny paper to give it that glisten of swirling snow.
I also used liquid pearls for the little balls that are on the tree.

Supplies: Sparkly Tree & sentiment from Whimsy stamps, circle & Fancy Tags Two from spellbinders, Bo Bunny patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, White Opal liquid pearls & Star Dust stickles from Ranger, White liquid applique from Marvy Uchida, miscellaneous buttons, hemp, & ribbon.

It's been a while since I've posted anything sorry about that, the days have been an absolute blur. It's funny how when you get older there sometimes seems to never be as many hours in a day as one would like. But I'm back on with the things that I love so here is another wonderful stamp that I colored from the Kenny K collection. I love the bright, fun summer colors. This is the first background stamp from Kenny K that I've used, it's called Street Art it was fun to use with this card. It fit really well with the 6x6 card size.
This is a  close up  of the colored Kenny K image Troublemaker, I absolutely love these stamps. They are so much fun to color.
