Anything but a Card.

Anything But A Card.

Here we are November 30 already, can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner. Only 25 more days. So I decided to try something a little bit different and make a arrangement for my house for Christmas. I used this super cute digi image called New Flowery Tree from Whimsy Stamps.

I colored the image to match the Poinsettia and leaf color. I found this vase, pebbles & silver spikes at a local store here and decided that I could make a great arrangement with it. The Flowery Tree image that I colored just added that extra touch that finished off my project. I am very pleased with how this turned out. You should check out the rest of the DT projects for the Whimsy challenge blog this week and make a project for a chance to win images from Whimsy Stamps.

I took a closer picture to really show off the image that I colored for this project, it was a super cute image to work with. Each poinsettia iscut out with a spellbinder, foam squared in between each layer, sprayed with adhesive, sprinkled with glitter and then pearls were added to the centers.

Thanks for stopping by.
Supplies: New Flowery Tree image from Whimsy stamps, poinsettia spellbinder , Bazzill cardstock, copic markers, Kaiser craft pearls, glitter.

Make or Add a Tag.

Hi, great to see you again.

The Whimsy Inspirational Challenge this week is to make or add a tag.

So I decided to do something that I have never made before and that's a wine bottle tag. I think something like this would be wonderful to take to someone house that is having you over for dinner around the holiday season or just to say I was thinking of you over a glass of wine. You'll have to check out the Whimsy blog and get inspired to make or add a tag, maybe try to come up with something that is a little different than you usually make.

Happy Crafting!

This is a close up of the tag using a super cute digi stamp called New HollyBelle by Stamp Art Design from Whimsy Stamps. I attached three ribbons and a bow to the edge with some small gold bells dangling from the ribbon to add to the Christmas theme of the tag.

Flowers and a sentiment

I'm back again this week with another challenge card from Whimsy.

The challenge this week is to have a sentiment and flowers. I decided to keep my card simple and elegant this week and it was easy using a great sentiment from Whimsy Stamps - " you are my inspiration" from Rain Drop Echo called Inspirational Sentiments. I also used a new die that I just received from Whimsy called Vines Dies. Click on over to the Whimsy Inspiration blog and check out some really wonderful creations from The digi DT team and hope to see you play along.

Recipe Challenge

Todays Challenge for Whimsy is a recipe - Ribbon, 2 design papers & 3 embellishments.

Here is my card that I did using a Chrissy Armstrong digi stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Little Christmas Angel. My three embellishments are a little jewel hanging from a ribbon, red bling on the holly & the buckle on the bottom ribbon. Having a challenge like this sure makes you think cause all your embellishments have to all go together somewhat but still enhance the overall look of your card. Check out what the DT's for Whimsy have created on the Whimsy Challenge blog this week.

Hope to see your card/ project on Whimsy using todays challenge idea.

A better look at the sentiment that I used for my easel card.
