This week on the Whimsy Challenge blog the theme is :

So I decided to use a Chrissy Armstrong digital image called New Snowman Angel, from Whimsy Stamps. This image is really super sweet, I thought the let it snow sentiment would be cute to add. Although I don't want it to snow, snow, snow. I thought that the sentiment was kind of fitting with the whole walking in a Winter Wonderland theme. The snowman has a candy cane in his hand which is a small but really great part of the holiday season. I decided to make this card very soft but seasonal, not using a dark color like red but a tone of it. So here is my card, I really enjoyed creating it so I hope that you enjoy what I have done with

I used white liquid applique from Marvy Uchida around the fur on the hat, mitts and buttons on the jacket. This is wonderful for dimension you put it on let it dry a bit then use a heat gun and then you have wow factor I love it.

Pearls and Patterned Paper

Todays challenge for Whimsy is Patterned paper and pearls.

I can not believe that it is already December 7, the time is just flying by Christmas is only a couple weeks away. I have had this image for a little while and decided that maybe I should use it and being that it is this close to Christmas I thought that it would be a fitting image to put on this card. I wanted to use colors that were a little different but that would create a bold, rich but elegant look. I don't very often put purple & red together but I kind of like the look that this created. December Whimsy Blog Hop

Here is my card, I used the new image from Whimsy Stamps by Chrissy Armstrong called Snowman Skating. I used a white transparent ribbon, adhering it randomly on the card to make it look like the wind was blowing the snow flakes around. This is such a super cute winter image, and lots of fun to work with.
