Inspiration card Aug 15

Great to see you again!
I have been busy, busy again. It seems that things go bursts of busy in my life. That I won't be busy or doing to much in a day then all of a sudden it gets super busy with a million things that all have to be crammed into a couple days. I had planned a little get away for a couple days with my daughter, then a unexpected appointment came up so things got rearranged. It all worked out but changed a few plans, nothing major. Our get away just happened a bit later that's all. Crazy how stuff happens. So I get a couple days away with her, I am glad everything has worked out. I'm hoping that things get a little more organized and less chaotic from now on for a little while anyways. Ya right, LOL.
I have been coloring some really great images from Whimsy Stamps and now will be making some inspiring creations to share. This cute little image is called Big Love from Marika Collins. I tried doing something a bit different with the image I tried using a glaze pen for a different effect, it turned out ok but the photo had a lot of glare cause of the glaze. I tried retaking the picture but could not get the clarity that I wanted.
So this is my inspiration card for this week, I hope you  can be inspired to create something different and wonderful today.

I tried something different using a sewing zipper to make a flower. I like the effect that I got. I've never tried this before it was easy so I'm sure I'll use this technique again.
Supplies: Bazzill cardstock, Spellbinders- Label Eighteen, standard circles, Large inverted scalloped circle, Memory box Fresh Foliage, Penny Black sentiment eloquence, Tim Holtz bricks embossing folder.

Have a super wonderful day
Thank you for stopping by.

August Challenge card.. Clean and simple

Welcome back to my blog!
It's raining here today and suppose to be that was for a few days, hopefully not to long cause July zoomed away. I would really like to enjoy August before we get into fall and thrown into winter again. Time zips by so darn fast.
So the next few days will be a perfect day for making cards and crafting cause you really can't do to much outside on days like this.
The challenge at Whimsy this month is clean and simple.
What is your take on clean and simple, some people add a few things just not as many as they typically would. I think clean and simple is not to much for patterned paper, no embellishments, and clean lines. So this is my challenge card for clean and simple, very faint patterned paper with one piece of ribbon and a bow. This card to me could have a ton more stuff on it. If you have seen my work before you will know what I mean, and is you haven't been here before thank you for stopping by. I love the detail of flowers and embellishments. So I really hope that you decide to make a card and put it in our challenge this month at Whimsy for a chance to win some terrific stamps from Whimsy.
This stamp is from designer Marika Collins and is called Summer. If you would like more information about the details of the stamp click here. You should click here and jump over to the Whimsy inspiration blog to join in on our challenge clean and simple for this month, or to just get inspired to create something wonderful today.

July 25 inspiration card

Inspiration card for July 25.
Well it's been a few days since I have posted anything on my blog, I was kinda wist away by my husband unexpectedly.....a couple of times.
I finished my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration party, it went very well. Turned out closer to a wedding than an anniversary but it was wonderful. They enjoyed themselves a lot. When that was finished I was home for like a day then we went away to relatives for a couple days to the lake. Then unexpectedly came home and gone again the next day to visit my sister-in-laws at her new place in southern British Columbia. We took a day away for our 25th wedding anniversary, stayed at a beautiful little hotel, went out for a wonderful supper, walked on the boardwalk, had a glass of wine on the marina. It was truly a wonderful way to spend an anniversary with a man that is the love of my life and my soul mate.

Well now that I have given you the low down on my last couple of weeks I'll get to the card that I just finished. This is a wonderful image from Whimsy Stamps called Megan school girl created by designer Scrappers Delight. Such a cute image and fun to create with, although school does not start here for a little better than a month.

July 14 inspiration card muffin

Hello welcome back to my blog.
sorry my post this last week is a little late, so I'll just have to post another card this week to help make up for my crazy schedule. Hope your doing well and that I can inspire you to post a card or create today.
I made this super cute cute card using a digital image from Whimsy stamps called Muffin from designer Lia Stampz. I colored this image using copic markers and used a new spellbinder for the little dollies on the edge of the card. I never did anything way over the top but I sure love the way this card turned out. Sometimes simplicity can speak volumes. I hope you have a fabulous day full of wonderful and happy things. I added a few strips of this really great ribbon I came across then put a line of pearls in between. The little dies are from spellbinders and are called Medallion seven.

So here is my card for this week.

A bit of a closer look at this adorable colored image.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

My card for the blog hop

This is my card for the Digital release using an image called hummingbird from designer Dana's Digi's. I wanted to try an new technique with this card. I always use foam squares to give my cards a 3 D look. So I tried doing a 3D paper piecing card. I didn't get as in depth as I could have but, I wanted to try it on an easy level. I only did a few layers but it is alot of work and cutting. The effect was so wonderful, the photo doesn't really justify it. But I had fun doing it.

A closer look at the paper piecing of the flower.
Supplies: Copic markers, Digital image and Treasured moment tickets from Whimsy Stamps, Kaiser patterned paper, Bazzill cardstock, Decorative Labels Eight from Spellbinders, Kaiser craft pearls, foam squares.
