Aurora Wings DT

Welcome to my blog!

Glad to see you, I haven't blogged in sooooooo long it's terrible really. I'm not the most computer savvy person out there so my blog doesn't change a lot but I do love to put my creations up to share.

I am super pumped up to be applying  for a position on the Aurora Wings design team.  I only just seen that there was an opening for a DT on Thursday and today it closes. But I managed to get a creation made so that I could apply, I have been buying these digital stamps for a long time.....and I completely fell in love with each and every one of them. I'm pretty sure that I have bought at least 3/4 of them if not more. I also follow along on Facebook, that's where I seen the DT opening.
I love these stamps for the detail of some of them, yet the simplicity of others....like the Sprites.  So now I would love to share my creation using an image called : Icy Snow Queen by Mitzi Sato-Wiuff.

So here is my card using some of my favorite colors:

I colored her using copic markers, The paper is Bazzil cardstock, patterned paper is from Moxie winterland- Frozen. The die cuts used are snowflake border die and the flowers are Spellbinders -Heartfelt Creations called Tattered Blossoms. From Ranger I also used Stardust stickles, Glossy Accents and inked the edges of the flowers and image with Hickey Smoke ink.

A closer look at my colored image
A closer look at the flowers that I made using the spellbinder die cut and also adding some dimension by popping them up with foam squares and adding little drops of Glossy Accents - like dew drops.
I would be thrilled if I got choose to participate on the Aurora Wings Design Team .
Good Luck to everyone who created and applied.

I am so glad that you popped by to check out my blog
I will see you next week!

Easy Listening

Good Morning!
Great to see you again, I`m glad that I am able to post and share this wonderful image with you all. This sweet little image is called Easy Listening and is designed by Mari Digis. You can check out this image at Stamping studio
I loved working with this image cause who doesn't like to sit back and listen to some great music, whether your happy or sad there is not a time that music doesn't help heal your soul. Taking a long drive or just sitting in your home......music is the answer sometimes....try it.
This card is created in honor of all the wonderful people who love to sit back and sooth their soul with some music that why I used the heading ``thinking of you``
cause I am.

Thank you for popping by today. I hope that I could help you create and remember take time to listen to some music and sooooth your soul.

Becca's Buttery

Welcome back!!!

Its been a while for sure., I've had a few things on my plate the last little while. A few of my family members have been sick, so I've been a little bit preoccupied.......Sorry. Iv'e had a few s
I have had a family member  diagnosed with cancer and My 2 1/2 year old niece has been diagnosed with Childhood nephritic syndrome. Her filters on her kidneys are no working and so she has to receive treatment in the hospital 3 times a week. My stresses have been a bit higher than usual but it is nice to be able to dive into  something you love and be creative. This does help get your mind off of things.
So for you today I have created a card using a fantasist image from Miss Daisy Stamps called
Becca's Butterfly. Such a sweet image to create with, then I found this great paper that fit so well with this sweet image.
I hope you pop by Miss daisy Stamps to check out all the wonderful images available.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!!!!
Have a fantastic day.
Hope to see you back next week.

Pretty Petals 1

Good Morning Monday!

Today is the first day of the week and I am not very motivated to do much of anything. My husband & I went to where we were both raised to visit family. We went because it was mothers day on the weekend and thought it would be nice to visit family.
I can actually say that I am emotionally & physically drained today.
We visited my niece and her young two year old daughter to drop off a special gift from us to her. She is only 2 and just been diagnosed with a kidney disease, so no one is sure what is in store for her cause no of the medication that she is receiving seem to be helping.am hoping that something works for her and that her kidneys will work better, the filters in her kidney are not filtering the protein in her body
But she is always smiling and is the happiest little girl ever for what she has been going through.
Plus there are some other health issues going on with someone on my side of the family so I'm concerned with them as well.
My emotions have been very up and down the past few days.
But on a positive note, we came home early cause my daughter wanted to spend time with me on mothers day before she had to work last night. We went for brunch and she bought me the most wonderful card and candle holder for the patio.
Love her to bits and she loves sunflowers, they are her favorite flower. so thinking of her as I post this card.
This image is from Miss Daisy Stamps and is called Pretty Petals 1.
I have worked with this image before and absolutely love it. The file does come with a sentiment, but I was away from my home and computer so I had to work with what I had. This is just a sentiment off of a rubber stamp set that I happen to have with me. I had picked up some new dies and had to use them for this beautiful image.

Thank you for stopping by to check out my latest creation.
Have a fantastic week.
See you soon.

Playful Dino

Good Morning!

Well it is here anyways the sun is actually shining today. I have been a little to busy to be able to actually enjoy it, but none the less it's beautiful here. I guess in the evenings I do enjoy it, cause I have to chocolate labs.  They are 12 years old so not into more than actually being with you but after they get there supper, ......It's walk time. They wont leave you alone until they get a walk that seems to be the highlight of their day. Even if you don't feel like it  they push you and bug until you do feel like it LOL!  But none the less I love them to bits and the walk is good for me right!
So today on my blog I am featuring an image
This file comes with 6 images and they are all way to cute. I picked this image with
the flower cause well he's way to cute and I thought with the great spring weather there will be flowers popping up soon. I never did any popped up pieces on this card but I did make a stamping border around the outside of the green paper to give a bit of a different look to my card. This card is a bit simpler than I normal create but I think that It make my colored image stand out a bit more.

Thank you for stopping by again
and I hope to see you next week.
Have a fantastic day in anything you choose to do today!

Baby Bear Butterfly

Welcome back to my blog!
Today I'm featuring this adorable little digital bear from Miss Daisy Stamps called Baby Bear Butterfly.
I found these fantastic edge dies from Heartfelt creations, and I'm definitely in love.
I really wanted to use this one cause I had not used it before, this little bear totally fit in  for what I was doing.
The movement of the circle around the bear and the curves of the die just add so much flow to my card. Seeing that there was a butterfly in the image that I colored with copics I found a few butterfly dies that fit in beautifully with this card.

This cute little image would work so well as a new baby card, birthday, just because......so many themes.
Jump over to Miss Daisy Stamps and check out Baby Bear Butterfly plus so many other fantastic Digis,
Here is my card this week, I hope you enjoy it.

Thank you for stopping by to take a look...
Have a Fantastic day see you next week.

Hug a Snowman

Welcome back!!
Good morning, it's morning here.
Actually it kind of a gloomy overcast day, no sun, no rain and no snow yet........?? According to our local radio the rain and the snow are on the way today, which is the way the last week or so have been. We have had enough snow already I think everyone has. It's sooooooo time for some sunshine and get on with spring.
So now that you have a bit of my weather forecast you wont think that I'm off my rocker for doing a winter card at this time of year unless you live in Alberta, Canada....LOL.
I thought that this would be a fitting card given our weather of snow on a fairly regular basis lately.  I made this super cute card using an image from Miss Daisy Stamps called "Hug a Snowman".  This is another card that I made while I was away before Easter.  I found these super cute snowflake  buttons at their local craft/ fabric store and they worked perfectly for this card.
The file is super cute and you can also get a couple different sentiment files with some really great sentiments on them.

So here is my "Spring" card!

I had to do a closer picture to show you the buttons that I used. I just used scissors to cut of the button loop and glue dotted them down.
Thank you for stopping by today....
Have a fantastic day....I'll see you next week !!!

Easter Bunny Basket

Good Morning!
Great to see you back again, I took a week and went on a road trip right before Easter to my sister in laws (sister), it was about 9 hours away from where I live. I was hoping to have nice weather but not so much..... it rained just about the whole time. At the last minute as I was leaving decided to take some of my scrapbooking things, which turned out to be the best idea. I created in the evenings after supper and got so many fantastic cards finished.
I am more than thrilled with the outcome of my cards and to be able to share them with you every week for the next month or so.
This fanstatic image is called Easter Bunny Basket and can be found at Miss Daisy Stamps by
Jennifer Nilsson  Art.. The really sad part is that this and all her other images are only avaliable until April 30, 2017. All Jennifer's images are now 50% off, so I would hurry and check it out and stock on some fantastic digital images.

I felt that this image is still fitting to post even after Easter because all the school children here are still on Easter break until next week.

I colored this sweet little guy with copic markers and did a simple background of spring pink and a little bit of bling embellishments, with a time to celebrate sentiment.

I printed 2 images and colored the feet on both because I wanted to pop up the feet and give this some dimension.

Thank you for stopping by I hope you have a fantastic day and are super creative today in all that you do!

Welcome back to my blog!
Welcome back, today it's a bit foggy here but the temperature is suppose to reach about 12C. I'm hoping that will be a nice temp. to bring in the weekend, so glad that spring is finally here and once all the snow it completely gone it will be even better.
This winter has been a long one for me, so to see more sunshine and to get outside more will be fantastic!
With the warm weather comes outdoor sports like baseball, so in honor of that I thought this adorable little owl was a fitting card to post today.  I love the Toronto blue jays so I decided to do him in their color of blue.
This adorable image  is called Owl-Ways Baseball and can be found on the Miss Daisy Stamp website.  It also comes with a whole bunch of sentiments which are so cute to put on a card, I couldn't decide which one to use so I put a bunch on it. I also found these little wooden embellishments that have hash tags, exclamation marks and a bunch of others so I includes a couple on this card. Everyone seems to be using Instagram and snap chat so I added a # play ball on the bottom corner of this card.

A few of the sentiments included with this digital image.
The baseball is in the file as well I popped it up for a bit of dimension.
I love this part of my card with the circular tag and the ink distressed hash tag.
I hope that this card has given you a little bit of inspiration to create or go to a ball game lol.
I hope to see you back, so I can so you another creation.

Thank you for stopping by.

Good Morning!

Welcome back to my blog! as promised another card this week. The last few days in my life have been crazy busy with lots of driving and appointments, I'm sure you know exactly what I mean. It seems like you have a bit of a quiet period in your life then everything comes all at once.
But in there I managed to get to a couple scrapbook stores and bought some fabulous dies which I can't wait to use. I said some which is more than 1 or 2. UGHHHH! LoL.
I have colored some more images and can hardly wait to get putting some things to share with you.
On that note I would love to share this fantastic image  Winter Bird from digital designer Jenn Nilsson. You can check out this image plus tons more at the Miss Daisy Stamps website.
I loved working with this image so much you can do with it.

This is a closer picture of some of the dimension that I added to this card. I love adding dimension and little details to each card that I make.
Thank you for stopping by my blog and I will see you again next week for sure.

Owl Ways Party

Hi there glad to see you popped by again.
It's finally decide to rain here thank goodness cause there have been so many forest fires. It started raining last night and it is still raining, everything has definitely turned a more beautiful green. We have had numerous ones fairly close and it leave an uneasy felling inside you to think that a forest fire can cause so much devastation and Alberta I think has seen enough of that.

I'm happy to be up and posting every week.
I always try to do something different with my creations. I try not to ever make the same card twice. Unless it's like a wedding invitation or Thank you cards.
This card was made to be a little ones birthday card. I love this little image, so much fun to color.
This one is called Owl-Ways Party from Miss Daisy Stamps. This image also has a bonus file with some great sentiments in it. It's great to get the bonus file with sentiments cause once you print them off you can use them for this image on a card or for any others that you may have. It's always nice to have some on hand especially if you don't have the stamps

I added little dots around the image with my copic markers to give the image a bit of a background. I also added some stickles to add a bit of shine to the image.....who doesn't like a bit of glitter.

Thank you for stopping by:
So glad to see you and I'm hoping that I've given you a little inspiration to get in touch with your inner self and create!

Raggedy Girl Nurse

Welcome back!

I have officially been off of crutches  a little more than a week and I couldn't be happier about it. I had never been on crutches before I broke my foot and I have a whole new appreciation for anyone that has to use them. It is a lot of work, hard on your hands ( I now have callouses on each one), hard on your back, hard on your chest muscles. I also appreciated everyone who helped me out.... for ever single person who held a door or packed something for me. I guess most of all my daughter and husband who helped me do things around the house, packed things for me, drove me around to appointments, for groceries etc, etc, etc.  The list goes on like ...13 weeks long.  I read a lot, watched t.v and colored a lot of images. It took me a bit to get into making the cards, cause to move around my scrapbook room was a challenge as well as frustrating. So for  the first quite a few weeks I just colored at my kitchen table.
So I had this image colored long before I was able to create with it and make this card.
I made a get well card using this absolutely wonderful image called Raggedy Girl Nurse from
Miss Daisy Stamps. ( click here to jump to the store)
This digital image as has a bonus file with some great sentiments included. The "Get Well" is one of the sentiments.
A closer look at my colored image.
I enjoyed making this card ,
I hope you grab a image and create something fun.

Pretty Petals 1

Glad to you popped into my blog!
Today I have created a very special card for a very special person in my life....  My husband.
His birthday was on April 29 and I made this card for him. Everyone loves sunflowers they are so bright and cheery. So is this image I absolutely loved working with this one. This image is from Miss Daisy Stamps and is called Pretty Petals 1. My daughter and husband just planted about 5 different kinds of sunflowers, we will see what we get when the grow and how big they get. I can't wait to see them in the fall.

A closer look at pretty petals 1.
I added little water droplets to add just a little more detail to the card.
Thank you for stopping by and I'll see you again next week.

I just wanted to add a little note....speaking of rain. Here in Alberta, Canada we could sure use some.  Especially in Fort McMurray!
The whole city has been evacuated and the forest fire continues to grow. So many people have lost everything... so sad it breaks my heart. I'm sure if you have watched the news you have seen what has been going on.
This disaster has been so devastating and has affected the whole country, I'm so proud of all the people who are helping by donating, getting things together to send to the evacuees.
In my community there have been quite a few people that are here staying after their devastating loss. It's so nice to see that so many people have pulled together to help.
There are so many bad things going on in the world, bombing, people hurt other people, but this has helped restore my faith in humanity.

Umbrella Ducky

Morning!
Hope your day is going well, and that you are creating or doing something you love to do. It seems lately that when I color an image, something goes wrong in between the finished colored image and the completed card. Like I explained with my fish card and now this one LOL.
I colored this then put glossy accents on the water to give it some depth. While waiting for that to dry I started working on the actual card itself, I had just set it to the side of my scrapbook table for maybe like 5 minutes......when my adult daughter came in to talk and grabbed it to look at it before I could say that it was still really wet. Her finger smeared through the water splashes on the left side of the card, it took me some thinking on how to create my card without actually having to re color the whole image. I originally was going to just cut a square around the image but because of the smear, I cut out the splash drops and cut around the left side of the duck and umbrella. I actually like how this turned out. I have taught card and scrapbooking classes to adults as well as children and have always said....everything is fixable ( for the most part). You can add a flower, sentiment or a embellishment to cover a lot of mistakes.

Today I am posting this card I made that is super cute and tons of fun to work with from Miss Daisy Stamps....called Umbrella Ducky. This file comes complete with bonus file sentiments, I have used 2 of them on this card.

A closer look at my water splashes. my fix job.....LOL
Thank you for stopping by, hope to see you next week as well.
Have a Ducky day!

Flower Pot Bunny

Good Morning!!

Today the sun is shining and there is a bit of a wind. It's super dry and we sure could use some rain, there seems to be a lot of forest fires flaring up around the province. On Tuesday night I went golfing with my husband, I didn't golf I road around in the golf cart and watched him golf as I'm still on crutches. While we were out on the course a water bomber flew over a couple times and fairly low. They are forecasting rain and I hope we get some to help fire fighter with their jobs. We never had very much snow over the winter so now we are suffering the dryness in the spring.
Speaking of spring,
I made this super cute card using a fantastic image from Miss Daisy Stamps. This image is called Flower Pot Bunny and was wonderful to work with. I used bright fun spring colors and added some wonderful flowers to welcome in spring. I added a border of paw prints to add the bunny effect. This image comes complete with a bonus file of sentiments as well. Hop over to Miss Daisy Stamps and check out her wonderful digital images.

To add some extra dimension to  my card I printed to images the same size then grayed out the bottom image pieces that I wanted to pop up. Of course I love sparkle so I added a little shine on the card by adding some stickles.
Thank you for hopping by and hope you stop by next week to check out my most recent Miss Daisy Inspirational card.
Have a Fantastic sunny day!

Catch More Fish

Hi ! Hope your having a fantastic day!!!!
I'm glad to see that you popped back in to check out my newest creation. I had a few creative blocks with this card. I colored the image and it turned out good, but I wanted it to be a "guy" card. So I guess I was being fairly picky, plus I made it for my dad's birthday. All the embellishments didn't fit the way I wanted, I placed more things than I can count on it to see if it fit, but  I was being really critical of everything.  I put gear, metal things etc, etc. I thought I had it and there was just something about it that I didn't like, so I tried to pull of the image....the only time I'm sure that the image was stuck beyond stuck and I couldn't remove it......it torn. So it was a huge redo, I had to recolor the image and redo absolutely everything.  So I re colored the image and redid everything. I'm glad I did cause I really enjoyed doing this card... plus my dad loved it.

I made this card using the image from Miss Daisy Stamps called Catch More Fish that also comes with a bonus file with sentiments, you should check it out. I also made this card for a family reunion auction item, I got a great response from all the men that were there.

a close up of the end of the hook, I actually went shopping and added a fly hook to give it the dimension and added a smear of pearl accents to give the fish the glow that they have.
Thank you for stopping by to check out my blog...
Make sure you stop by next week to see my newest creation as well.

Pretty Petals 2

Welcome back!!!
I realize that I haven't posted anything in quite some time. Well as it happened I went on a little vacation in January to Costa Rica.....beautiful place by the way.  A couple days before we were due to come home we were walking on a path to go back to our condo after supper and I rolled over on my ankle. I still had to walk quite a ways farther, I happened to roll over on my ankle again and then fell. Long story short...... I walked on my foot for a few days until we got home. Went to the hospital and well I had a broken foot. So the doctor put me on crutches and I got a cast.
As it turns out  9 1/2 weeks later and I'm still on crutches and have the cast, apparently my foot wants to take it's time to heal. This has been super frustrating and kind of got me depressed, I never realized how hard it is on crutches to do day to day stuff when your not allowed to put any weight on your foot. Right from cooking supper, cleaning and crafting.  I am usually pretty active  but since this I havent been able to go for walks, drive, or  go to work. So it's taking me some time to get out of the slump that I was in and to be motivated enough to craft again.
But I am being productive and have created some cards using some pretty great images from Miss Daisy Stamps.
The following card is made using an Image called Pretty Petals 2.

I made this card as a birthday card and gave it to my mother-in-law for her 75 th birthday. Very fitting for a lady that love flowers.

I added a bit of stickles to give the flowers a bit of shine.
I made the side of the card with a step to give it some dimension.
Thanks for stopping by and checking out my creation!!
Hope to see you back next week
